BRIGHT HOUSE SLM CHALLENGE REQUIRES CHIP FOR THE FLORIDA SPEC MOTOR

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL (MAY 13, 2008) - Officials for the Bright House Challenge and New Smyrna Speedway announce the following rule change for the Florida Super Late Model Sealed (Spec) motor.

Effective immediately all Bright House Challenge cars with the Florida Spec (Sealed) motors based on their current engine part numbers and configuration will be required to run a 7400 rpm chip and their weight will be increased by 50lbs to 2750.  Spec Motor, Steel Head Motors and 9-1 motors will all have the same race weight of 2750 lbs.

Teams using the Florida Spec Motor will be required to have a 7400 rpm chip during tech and the chip sealed to the box.  Teams using dual boxes will be required to disconnect the second box from the engine wiring harness before coming thru tech.

To allow team’s time to adjust to the rule change, New Smyrna Speedway will have practice exclusively for Super Late Model competitors prior the next Bright House race on Saturday May 17th. Pit gates will open at 10:00am, with Bright House practice to follow.  Bright House Challenge tech will open at 2pm with practice for all other classes beginning at 4:00 pm. Bright House Challenge Teams are invited to arrive Friday and secure there rigs for early practice Saturday.

This rule does not apply to the Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Model Series.

Bronson Motor Speedway Latest News 7/21/09

The rains stayed away last Saturday Night at Bronson Motor Speedway
providing a great night for racing.  A good crowd of race fans were on
hand, including the Belnap Family Reunion who had folks from all over the
United States and even some family from Switzerland!  Thanks to the
Belnap Family for making Bronson Motor Speedway a part of their
festivities!

The awesome action continued in the Limited Sportsman Feature this
week with High Spring's Matt Blum in his Reno Plumbing-Shop Gator
Mania.Com machine starting in the fifth position and charged his way
through the field to take over the lead from Gainesville's William Edwards,
who started on the pole and led the first 15 laps of the 30 lap feature.
Blum had plenty of competition with Inglis's Mike Baker in the A-1
Automotive 02 machine right on his bumper.  The caution was displayed
only once as Chiefland's Shelton Bowers got into the 08 of Edwards, and in
a great showing of Sportsmanship, Bowers stopped and advised the
officials he as at fault, thus giving Edwards his spot back and Bowers sent
to the rear of the field.  Bowers would then race his way back to
finish third, with Mike Baker taking second and Matt Blum once again in
Victory Lane.

Dunnellon's Brent Cooper continued his winning ways the Super
Stock Feature over Bronson's Tommy Ausburn.  Ausburn would lead the first 5
laps before Cooper would power past him for another win.

Thunder Stock action heated up as Inverness's Steve Hise would
come up to visit and take home the Victory over Larry Welter, Sr and
Howard Brody.

In Hornet Action, Front Wheel Drive Feature First William O'Quinn
brought out a new car and took it to victory lane on its maiden voyage!
In Rear Wheel Drive Feature Michael Vorsek powered the # 4 Mustang to
victory lane and thanked his friend Mike Baker, Jr for loaning him his
ride for the evening.

This Saturday Night - July 26 Bronson Motor Speedway will host
it's Politicians Rally, plus a full night of racing.  Over 20 Candidates
have pledged to come speak to the fans, so come out and meet these fine
